Fire starter & firewood
-Necessary if you use a wood stove or fire pit (fire starter is useful for starting a fire)
-Firewood can also be purchased at the inn for 1,000 yen per bundle.
*Firewood is used for the wood stove and fire pit, and you will need at least 1-2 bundles for each (you may need more depending on the duration of use), so if possible, we recommend bringing your own and purchasing any remaining amount at the inn.

Important points to note for a comfortable stay

  • If you come by car, please park in an available space on the premises (please note that there is a drain along the cliff side at the back as you enter from the road).
  • For large luggage such as suitcases, please use the space under the shelf on the right side of the entrance.
  • Please take off your shoes at the entrance before entering.
  • Please use the slippers provided on the right side of the entrance when indoors. There are also special sandals (black) available on the terrace, which you can use on the terrace and in the fire pit (gravel space) at the back of the terrace.
*Please enter the sauna and cold bath barefoot.
  • Everything in the facility is free to use except for firewood. (Firewood costs 1,000 yen per bundle.) Please check the manual for each item before using it.
  • Please feel free to use the living/dining/kitchen area or the terrace (wooden deck) for cooking and meals.
  • Please use the beds and bedding for the number of people you booked. The sofa in the living/dining/kitchen area can be turned into a bed by tilting the back, so please use it if necessary (bedding is in the closet in the bedroom).
  • The indoor cypress bath does not have a reheating function, and the bathtub is large. So it takes time to fill it with hot water. We recommend filling it with hot water about an hour before bathing.

Since our facility uses a water tank and pump to increase the water pressure in showers, etc., if the water is supplied for an extended period of time or at the same time, the water may temporarily slow down or stop running. The water supply is usually restored automatically within a few minutes to 20 minutes, but if you are in a hurry, please stagger the time a little.

*If you leave the hot water running for a long period of time, the safety device of the gas water heater will be activated and the gas supply will be stopped, so be sure to turn off the hot water supply once the bathtub is full.
  • If you wish to use the sauna, please be sure to read the "How to use the sauna" section of this manual before enjoying the sauna.
  • ath towels and face towels are provided for the number of guests, regardless of the number of nights. If you are staying multiple nights, please use the washing machine and dryer outside as needed.
  • Due to the nature of the environment, it is impossible to avoid insects. Please take precautions such as not keeping doors and windows open as much as possible and bringing insect repellent spray and mosquito coils.
  • We have significantly increased our contracted electricity capacity to accommodate the sauna's electric heater, but the breaker may trip if used in conjunction with other electrical appliances.
In the unlikely event that the power to the entire facility goes out, please restore power by flipping up the breaker above the entrance (the large lever on the left).
  • [To prevent dryness in winter]
If you feel that the humidity level in the room is low, we recommend placing a kettle filled with water on top of your oil stove.
*It is dangerous to run the stove empty, so make sure there is water (hot water) in the kettle at all times.
*Please make sure to turn off your oil stove before going to bed.

Tips for staying warm on the terrace in the middle of winter

  • First, go into the sauna and warm up your whole body.
  • Close the vinyl curtain securely. (Make sure the top hook and magnet are still attached!)
  • Heat up the wood stove
(Make sure the wood is burning well in the wood stove, then add lots of more! The key is to put in lots of wood generously!)
  • Turn on the TOYOTOMI kerosene stove at maximum heat
  • Point the air circulator towards the ceiling and switch it on!
